Stories from others with ABI
I truly dislike the term "survivor" when talking about some who has had a brain injury. Yes, initially we survive the injury but eventually it is more than just surviving.
When we take control of who we are despite the brain injury and at that point we are more than a survivor, we are a master! The definition of master is; a victor or conqueror. So when you are at the point of taking control show pride in calling yourself a B.I.M., a Brain Injury Master. I know I am.
